Attached is a pic of a new Kammback taken at a dealer lot in 1981. It is a Base model, Blue on Blue. It had 2.5 litre 4 cylinder engine mated with a 4 speed transmission. It had full time 4 wheel drive (No Select Drive), Am/FM radio, Roof rack, the console with the gauge package. Its window sticker was $6840.00. (Sent by Brian MacDonald, added 1/1/2001.)

OK, this isn't a Kammback, but I liked it.  It's an ad from a magazine for the 81 Eagle Select Drive.  (Sent by Brian MacDonald, added 1/2/2001.) [WARNING: The full sized image is about 400K.  The full sized image is blurry, but the text can be read.  These were sent to me as 2 .tif files, each about 2 meg.  I pasted them together as a .psp file.  That ended up being about 10 meg.  I reduced the size, and the color count, and then converted it to a .gif to get the file size manageable.]

AMC Eagle Kammback
The smaller Eagle will be the price leader of that family of cars and it will feature a 2.5-liter 4-cylider as standard.  The 4-speed transmission will also be standard, with automatic as an option.  The Kammback is equipped the same as the conventional Eagle and includes the new, lightweight, 6-cylinder engine as optional.  From the front seat forward, the Kammback retains the same room as the regular Eagle. (A liftback version, known as the SX/4, can be found in the color section of this category.)
