November 30th 2005 - What's with the Name!?
Since I haven't written anything here for a month I decided to write down a little nonsense about my artist name. Just try to deal with me for this once!
Shizuma 'Captain' Kunimura. That is my full name. Not my real name but the one I use. The name Captain Kunimura was one of my whims when I was thinking of what name should I use. Now that I think about it, it was probably more or less a subconscious choice.
The Captain part is all random but I think that it comes from a Capcom character called Captain Commando so that's probably it. Kuni comes from one of my favourite Japanese Street Fighter players Kuni Funada. Mura might come from Sanada Yukimura of Samurai Deeper Kyo. That wouldn't be a wonder since I really like that character and I'm a lot like him.
Shizuma is something I just decided to use this morning. For a while I've wanted to add something to Captain Kunimura so that it'd sound like a real name. Well, Shizuma Kusanagi from Real Bout High School is one of my favourite characters ever so that was an easy decision. Shizuma reminds me of myself as well. A wild and free person who does what he wants the way he wants. He might be rude and arrogant but there's no malicious intentions behind his actions. That's a lot like me.
Shizuma 'Captain' Kunimura. Sounds good to me so that'll be the name I use. At least for now...
