September 4th 2006 - Hellsing OVA 2 -Spoiler Alert!-
Most of you probably know that I love Hellsing. It's definitely one of my top-3 favourite mangas and when I heard there was going to be a OVA, I got really excited! The first episode was marvellous and I decided to check out the second on as well.
Now I finally got to watch part 2 of Hellsing OVA series and it sure was great stuff! Way better than that crappy TV version. OVA 2 focuses on Valentine Brothers' attack on Hellsing HQ. It was almost completely according to the book though there were few added scenes but they were all really cool!
The animation and art are top quality. Everything is so detailed and the character move around smoothly. Animation is something I want to be good in animes. It's pointless watching something animated if everyone stands and moves really stiff. Makes it boring to watch. Luckily that's not the case in this OVA.
All the characters had good voice actors. Yan had way better voice in TV version but it wasn't too bad. The soundtrack is another thing that can't match the one in TV version. All of the music made for TV version is simply genious and can't really be topped. The soundtrack was definitely the best thing in TV Hellsing.
The best scene was the one where Alucard turns off his restrictions and kills Luke. It was really awesome! Another great one was the scene where Seras snaps and starts butchering the ghouls. It was so detailed and bloody! Marvellous! There was also new scene where Luke kills some Hellsing Agents with a knife.
I think it's needless to say that Hellsing OVA is way superior to the TV version but I'm still saying it. It has been simply amazing so far and I'm really waiting for the third part already! "Hurry! Hurry, Hurry! Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!"
Some screenshots I took. Warning! Most of them contain lots of blood and gore! Not for children!

This scene is so cool! You've got to see it for yourself!
Seras going brutal!
There sure wasn't this much blood in the TV version!
