~The Days of the Green~
June 16th 2005 - Another old song. This one's about the greed of mankind.
Have you ever sat under a tree
Alone in peace feeling so free
Have you heard the choir of woods
Their soothing and mysterious sounds
Have you observed a forest spring
It looks so calming
But all the beauty fades away
As we lead this planet astray
Do you still remember the forests
All the trees, birds and incects
Now the world is cruel and mean
Never forget the days of the green
I'm walking the forest path
I feel the wood's breath
I hear a bird singing
I stand still listening
But the blue sky turns black
And the destroy without looking back
I realize that the forest's gone
And I feel so sad and alone
Do you still remember the forests
All the trees, birds and incects
Now the world is cruel and mean
Never forget the days of the green
Do you still remember the forests
All the trees, birds and incects
Now the world is cruel and mean
Never forget the days of the green
I still remember the days of the green
I'll never forget the days of the green
