At work

Some of you might be interested in some day getting a computer job that can be done while lying down.

Last year my spine surgeon told me "no one is going to let you lie down at work" and my Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor advised me to apply for disability.

I have been working in my supine workstation as a software engineer for 6 months now and love it.   Most of my time at work is lying down.   This cuts my pain to almost zero which is much more effective than any pain medication I have tried.   I never want to try working without a supine workstation again!

I thank my employer for supporting my requests for accommodations at work.   And thanks also to my fellow office workers for helping me rearrange my workspace.   They helped even if they can't understand how much it improves the quality of my life.

This is me using my supine workstation in my cubical at work.

I tried reclining like this, but the supine workstation was more effective.

This is me using my kneel chair in my cubical.
