Welcome back, Jette
July 21, 2005, Shakeys Greenbelt, Makati City

It was a short visit to Manila by Julian "Jette" Esteban who unfortunately wasn't able to make it to the Big V at Martin Rondain's place so we pulled together a couple of people to meet him before he flies back to the States to start a new job.

Jett and his beautiful wife, Cherry, were met by Paul Ancheta, Maryrose Mojica-Sabularse, Kaye Inductivo-Chua, Nina Saldana (with daughter Reb), Jovi Alonso, JJ Carino-Araos, Cynthis Filoteo-Blas, Teresa Santos-Borja and Ann Claire Asprec (who had to walk a thousand and one miles to get to the meeting place).

It was a small group but the sounds of laughter reverberated through the resto. As usual, it was a trip down memory lane, particularly those that had to do with Mercury (the section of Jett, Jovi, JJ, Kaye and Nina...and much to Paul's chagrin). The food was great too (Jett said he missed the delicious thin-crust pizzas of Shakeys) but it can never overshadow the great time we had just seeing each other again.

And then Ann Claire arrived and Shakeys was never the same again.
